Ailing Santa Rosa Mayor Resigns
Santa Rosa Mayor Bob Blanchard, who has been diagnosed with cancer, announced his resignation Wednesday.
Blanchard, 70, was first elected to the City Council in 2002 and won re-election four years later. He served as mayor from December 2006 until he recently took a leave of absence from his City Hall job.
