I've speculated a bit as to whether Ron Paul supporters in Montana will vote for Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party nominee, in the presidential race. That seems increasingly unlikely.
Why? The man himself, Ron Paul, will be on the ballot, as the Billings Gazette reports:
HELENA - U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, the runner-up in Montana's Republican presidential caucus last winter, will appear on Montana's November ballot as the presidential nominee of the Constitution Party of Montana, it was announced Monday.
...
David Hart of Kalispell, who ran Paul's campaign in Montana, predicted that Paul's candidacy would hurt the other candidates, particularly McCain. He said Paul may also draw some votes that Obama would otherwise pick up.

GOVERNING Politics is the place for news and analysis on campaigns and elections. If there's a ballot measure in California, a legislative election in Alabama, a mayoral election in Anchorage or a governor's race in Rhode Island, GOVERNING Politics probably is writing about it. We love everything about state and local politics, from polls and campaign ads to policy debates and demographic trends.
