That’s the number of confirmed measles cases reported nationwide so far this year, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention — with 95 percent of cases involving people who were unvaccinated or whose vaccination status was unknown. The milestone comes as San Bernardino County confirmed its first measles case since 2023, involving an unvaccinated child visiting from out of state. Health officials warned the highly contagious virus is resurging as vaccination rates fall, with additional recent cases reported in Orange County and Los Angeles County.
