Share of Americans who say they would ascend to heaven if the Rapture occurred, according to a Sept. 23 YouGov survey. Another 18 percent said they would be left behind, while 36 percent said they weren’t sure. Belief in being taken to heaven was strongest among Republicans (63 percent), Southerners and adults over 65, compared to 40 percent of Democrats and 36 percent of independents.
