$40 billion

The amount that the Biden administration has announced will be allocated across the country in an effort to boost Internet connectivity. Approximately 8.5 million locations across the U.S. are not currently connected to the Internet, and 24 million people do not have access to high-speed Internet either due to cost or location inaccessibility. The administration hopes that the funds will help connect every American to high-speed Internet by 2030.
