The amount that Lac Du Flambeau, Wisc., will pay to the Lac Du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa to keep reservation roads open to the public through July 12. The Wisconsin town’s easements on 1.25 miles of the reservation roads expired a decade ago and negotiations to renew them have been stagnant. If a deal has not been struck by the end of this month’s agreement, the town will have to repay the fee with an additional $2,000 every month going forward for continued access.
