State of the State Addresses: List of Text Transcripts

Most governors start the year with a State of the State address before state legislatures to outline their priorities to constituents.

Governing has compiled a list of text transctipts for each 2013 State of the State addresses, along with accompanying word clouds illustrating each speech. Common themes so far include jobs, education and gun control.

Our list will be updated as more governors address their states over the next few months. Be sure to check back in late February for an analysis of all speeches.
