The year in which most legal retail sales of marijuana will begin in Minnesota, though residents will be able to legally possess and grow their own weed for recreational purposes starting Tuesday,Aug. 1, under a new legalization bill that was signed into law in May. At least one Minnesota tribe plans to take advantage of its sovereignty to allow marijuana sales immediately.
