Colorado Voters Hold Elections on Slew of Ballot Initiatives



More than a hundred municipalities across Colorado are holding elections this week on everything from tax increases and marijuana to plastic bags.

Buena Vista is considering a $3 million sales tax revenue bond for street fixes and DeBeque, Erie, Montrose, and Winter Park are among the places considering tax increases or extensions on Tuesday.

Crawford, Fruita and Lyons will vote on banning the sale of medical marijuana products.

Basalt and Carbondale are voting on whether to ban plastic shopping bags. Ault will decide whether to allow hens in residential neighborhoods. The Colorado Municipal League says at least 144 places will have elections.
