That’s the share of Utah now facing drought, as statewide snowpack falls to record lows, according to a new report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service. Snowpack supplies about 95 percent of Utah’s water, per the Division of Water Resources, but the latest survey shows 31 of 140 measurement stations at record-low snow water equivalent and 12 more at their second-lowest levels.
