The increased likelihood that job applicants with white-sounding names got responses from employers, compared with those whose names sounded Black, according to a new study.

Auto dealers and retailers of car parts were the least likely to call back apparently Black applicants, with Genuine Auto Parts and AutoNation scoring the worst on its “discrimination report card.”
