The number of books removed from Hillsborough County, Fla., classrooms. Last week, state Attorney General James Uthmeier asked the school board to remove materials he called “patently pornographic.” Among the books were removed were the well-regarded novels Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood and Beloved by Toni Morrison.
