The number of Northeastern governors who invited Canadian premiers to Boston to discuss President Donald Trump’s tariff policies and how the countries can maintain “strong trade relations.” The invitation was signed by the Democratic governors of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island, along with Republican Gov. Phil Scott of Vermont.
