The size of Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens’ new Neighborhood Reinvestment Plan, an ambitious effort to close the city’s 20-year life expectancy gap between neighborhoods just seven miles apart. Funded through existing tax allocation districts, the plan will channel future property tax revenues into affordable housing, transit, parks, health centers and local business development across seven target areas—from English Avenue and Vine City to Thomasville Heights and West Campbellton.
