The share of Americans who say Republicans would be to blame for the government shutdown, according to a new Marist University poll. By comparison, 27 percent said Democrats would be at fault, while 31 percent pointed the finger at both parties equally and 4 percent said neither. The shutdown — the first in seven years — has left thousands of federal workers furloughed and public services on pause, as both parties trade blame over spending and health-care subsidies.
