Net migration to the United States in 2025, according to estimates from the center-left Brookings Institution. For the first time in half a century, more immigrants left the U.S. than entered it last year, according to the new estimates. The majority of the drop-off is attributed to a slowdown in new arrivals as a result of Trump administration policies, with an additional slowdown attributed to the administration’s deportation campaign.
