The youngest age Wisconsin residents would be able to look for jobs without a work permit under proposed legislation. A 2017 bill eliminated work permit requirements for 16- and 17-year-olds, while the new bill would eliminate requirements for 14- and 15-year-olds. The legislation would not change laws regarding limits of working hours for minors or prohibitions against them doing dangerous jobs.
