That’s the estimated number of hospital workers in Minnesota who suffered violent, work-related injuries in 2023 and 2024 severe enough to force time off, restricted duties or job changes, according to new data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The toll gives Minnesota the second-highest rate in the nation for hospital violence causing injuries involving days away from work, job restrictions or transfers. Only Connecticut had a higher rate than Minnesota.
