Chicago’s Deputy Inspector General for Public Safety Deborah Witzburg, regarding the section’s analysis of the police department’s use of gunshot detection technology to help combat violent crime. The study found that only 9.1 percent of dispatches from ShotSpotter resulted in evidence of a gun-related criminal offense.
