A bad cyberactor may not be able to access your locked-down computer directly, but it is possible that your unsecured TV can give him or her an easy way in the backdoor through your router.

The FBI said in its warning to consumers that smart TVs can be potential hacking targets. As televisions become more and more computer-like and cybercrime is on the rise, consumers will have to take more safety precautions for their smart-purchases, like televisions, speakers or other devices.
