I do believe the people of the city of Chicago deserve a right to make a decision about who they want to be their next mayor.

Rahm Emanuel, in response to a state appellate court ruling, claiming that he did not meet a residency requirement of having lived in Chicago for a year prior to the Feb. 22 election, therefore making him ineligible to run for mayor.
