The cost of a high school diploma from some private schools in Louisiana that don’t need state approval to grant degrees. More than 21,000 students are enrolled in the state’s unapproved schools, which is nearly double the amount from before the pandemic. The state’s Department of Education warns parents on its website that it cannot confirm whether these organizations even meet the legal definition of a school.
