Number of days’ worth of reserve funds Wyoming has in its rainy-day fund, the nation’s largest reserve fund as a share of operating costs. Three other states also had more than 100 days’ worth of operating costs set aside: Alaska with 133.1, Nebraska with 120.2 and New Mexico with 103.2. For the first time in at least 23 years, no state reported less than a week’s worth of reserved funds.
