The number of mass shootings in the U.S. so far in 2022, including the latest in Tulsa, Okla., where a gunman killed four others and himself. The Tulsa shooting comes just eight days after the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, and 18 days after the mass shooting in Buffalo, N.Y. While the shootings in Tulsa, Uvalde and Buffalo have been given the most media attention, there have been 35 mass shootings in the U.S. since the one in Buffalo less than a month ago, which was the nation’s 198th for the year. The average continues to be more than 10 mass shootings a week.
