The amount of funding from the Environmental Protection Agency that will be used for 22 new sites that will remediate hazardous waste sites and to expedite the cleanup of 100 ongoing projects across the nation. Sixty percent of the announced cleanup sites are in low-income or minority communities that are chronically overpolluted.
