The city of Long Beach is a finalist for this year's City Accelerator project, which is focused on helping cities build and grow their network of local businesses and entrepreneurs of color. Cities that are chosen for the project will receive valuable support and resources from experts and peers to help them achieve their goals.

What is Long Beach proposing?

The city of Long Beach proposes to expand access to support, capital and other resources to entrepreneurs of color so that these early-stage business owners are able to take a leadership role in the city’s economic boom. The expansion is intended to result in a culturally responsive system of support, built and sustained by a broad alignment of partners, investors, institutions and entrepreneurs.
