On: 07-06-2018I really don't think the mayor has the right thoughts. This shouldn't only be for entrepreneurs of color. We have alot of small business in Stockton that can use the help, except the mayor refuses to help anyone unless they are of color

On: 06-29-2018Just the fact that Stockton is a finalist for this project shows the commitment our local leaders have made towards improving our city. As a woman and a minority who has experienced the disparity first hand when trying to operate a small business within the city, this action plan gives so much hope and encouragement to try again. Recognizing that the problem exists and providing possible solutions is progress - exactly what a minority-owned business needs - support, inspiration, and a strong, healthy community. Stockton is Finally being recognized for GOOD reasons; change has been long overdue and it seems like everyone is feeling the positive, renewed energy that Mayor Tubbs and his whole squad brings. It is a very exciting time to be a Stocktonian! There were so many reasons to leave this place when I was 20 and now there are so many reasons to stay for good. #StocktonStrong #StocktonGoingUp #StocktonOnTheRise

On: 06-29-2018I hope our city is awarded this Grant. Stockton has lots of bright minds who want to help and service the Community but unfortunately don't have the resources to push them through. I'm pray we get this.

On: 06-27-2018What’s great about Stockton is that it’s a collective community of leaders and entrepreneurs who will do whatever it is within their means to build a better city. It’s a city with civic pride overflowing. This will only allow more good to enter a community that is ready for more positive impact. And no better way than to reward those who are already working hard to make a change!

On: 06-21-2018Recieving this funding would provide opportunities for upward growth of minority’s in Stockton. This is a great thing! The proposal on the other hand seems vague and does not communicate a clear plan for leveraging these funds.
