This seems to be a long overdue initiative. I’m excited that this partnership between the three parties is prioritizing people of color and the cultural economic value that they have brought to the city of New Orleans. As a city planner and organizer, I’ve witnessed the positive benefits of development when culture barriers are equal partners at the table and I’m confident that under Asali’s leadership, this effort will be successful.
