Samantha Batel is a policy analyst on the K-12 education team at the Center for American Progress. Her work focuses on school standards, school and district accountability, and school improvement.
Before joining CAP, Batel was a confidential assistant in the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Elementary and Secondary Education and a fellow at the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy. She received her bachelor's degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
