Roger Zalneraitis, the economic development manager for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe headquartered in Ignacio, Colo., is a former executive director of the La Plata County Economic Development Alliance in Colorado. Previously, he served as an economic development planner for the city of Lawrence, Kan.

Zalneraitis, who also has worked in the private sector as a consultant and a risk manager for trading companies, holds a graduate degree in urban planning from Virginia Tech and an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame.
