Former Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan is a Fellow at Georgetown University's Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation. She founded and led the state and local government practice at 18F, a tech consultancy within the U.S. General Services Administration. She was a member of the inaugural class of the Aspen Institute’s Rodel Public Leadership Fellowship, served as co-chair of the Democracy Fund’s National Advisory Committee, and was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics and a Senior Fellow at the Harris School of Public Service. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from William Jewell College and a law degree from the University of Virginia.

We need to give the public servants who manage safety-net systems the technology tools and incentives to track critical outcomes and meet people where they are.
