Michael Imber is a managing director in Conway MacKenzie's Government and Municipal Practice. He has more than 25 years of experience counseling clients on bankruptcies and workouts and on municipal consulting assignments. He represented stakeholders in the Detroit, Jefferson County and Mammoth Lakes Chapter 9 bankruptcy cases.

Imber served as a member of the Connecticut Pension Sustainability Commission and has testified in front of the Connecticut General Assembly regarding the state's structural budget deficit and approaches for remediation. He is the 2019-2020 chairman of the board of the Municipal Analyst Group of New York and a member of the board of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. He also has served on the executive board of the Turnaround Management Association International and is a past president of its New York City Chapter.
