Jim Sullivan is a director in Sikich LLP's dispute-advisory practice, where he conducts investigations of alleged fraud, evaluates systems and procedures for control weaknesses, and recommends appropriate controls to prevent fraud. Before joining Sikich, he served for 12 years as the inspector general for the Chicago Board of Education.

Sullivan is a long-time board member of the Association of Inspectors General (AIG) and for more than 10 years he trained other IGs, executive-level staff investigators and auditors in AIG's certification institutes. As a founding member of the Illinois chapter of AIG, he served as the chapter's president and helped train local IG staff members, investigators and auditors.

Sullivan has a bachelor's degree in sociology and criminal justice from Benedictine University and holds a law degree from John Marshall Law School.
