Jennifer Moon is an independent researcher and writer living in Washington State who has worked in the social-services and public-health sectors for nearly 20 years. She formerly served as a policy analyst with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services and as a planner with the city of Seattle, and she worked for five years with a Seattle-based social-services consulting firm. Moon holds a Ph.D. in American history from the University of Virginia.
