Frieda K. Edgette, an international executive coach and organizational strategist with a political-consulting background, leads Oakland, Calif.-based Novos Consulting. She has facilitated the development of more than 150 cross-sector change initiatives in the United States and other countries, working not only with governments, civic innovators and political action committees but also with leaders in real estate, hospitality, health care, sports and recreation, financial services, technology, and arts and culture.

Edgette has served on the boards of a number of local, national and international leadership programs and is a former vice chair of the Alameda County, Calif., Human Relations Commission. In 2013, she founded Courage to Run, a leadership initiative dedicated to developing cross-sector women leaders committed to public service.

Edgette has a master's degree in organizational and social psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
