Bridget Doyle, director of community relations for the city of Sterling Heights, Mich., and former communications coordinator for the village of Lombard, Ill., is a member of the Emerging Local Government Leaders leadership team.

Doyle is a former reporter for the Chicago Tribune, where she covered city and suburban news. She also has worked as an editor for Vox Magazine and as a freelance journalist. She received her bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri at Columbia and soon will begin studies for a master's degree in public affairs from the university.
