Bill Bergman is director of research for Truth in Accounting, a Chicago-based nonprofit working to promote truthful, timely and transparent government financial reporting. He has over 20 years of financial market and related public policy experience, and teaches economics and finance courses at Loyola University.

Bergman earned an M.B.A. in finance and an M.A. in public policy from the University of Chicago in 1990. He has served in financial market research roles in the private sector as well as with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
