Nigel Jacob, Urban Technologist-in-Residence at Living Cities and convener of its City Accelerator initiative, speaks at Lipscomb University's Collaboration 101 conference about leading examples of urban innovation that relied on collaboration and the emerging practice of collective impact to improve the lives of low-income residents.

Richard E. Mallory, a principal consultant for CPS HR Consulting in Sacramento, Calif., serves as chair of the American Society for Quality Government Division.

A nationally recognized expert on public-sector management, he is the author of Management Strategy: Creating Excellent Organizations and the recently published Quality Standards for Highly Effective Government, as well as the ASQ publication Guidelines for Public Sector Process Certification. He is a seven-time examiner for the national and California Baldrige Quality Awards and also has served as a judge for the California Team Excellence Award.

His recent consulting clients include the California Franchise Tax Board, the California State Water Project and the Santa Clara County Housing Authority.
