Bentham Paulos is the director of America's Power Plan and a consultant and writer on clean-energy policy, technology and trends. He was with the Energy Foundation from 2000 to 2013, directing its renewable-energy work for the whole time, directing its utility-efficiency work for five years, and creating and managing a program on advanced biofuels.

Prior to joining the Energy Foundation staff, Paulos was a freelance consultant and writer in Madison, Wis., focusing on Midwest clean-energy developments for national and international clients. He also worked with the Energy Center of Wisconsin, the Union of Concerned Scientists and Abt Associates. He has a master's degree in energy policy from the La Follette Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
