Technology, Policy Connect Under Michigan IT Strategy

The state's Department of Technology, Management and Budget has been working diligently to implement an enterprise information management program.

Rod Davenport, CTO, Michigan
For the last few years, the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget has been working toward implementing an enterprise information management program, which Rod Davenport, chief technology officer for the state, said is moving along nicely — the next step in the process will be to find out what sorts of burning questions the end users have, "throw some tech at it and get some interesting answers," he said.

Davenport spoke with Government Technology about this program, his role as CTO and ongoing initiatives such as cloud computing in the state at the 2015 Michigan Digital Government Summit in Lansing.
