In South Carolina's GOP Primary, Well-Known Names Running for Lieutenant Governor

The final standalone race for lieutenant governor has attracted some famous S.C. political names in the Republican primary, including a former state attorney general and the son of a former governor. A retired developer in one of South Carolina’s swankiest beachfronts and a Columbia pastor who wants to put children into home or church schools round out the GOP field. The winner faces Democratic state Rep. Bakari Sellers in November. The governor and lieutenant governor start running on the same ticket in 2018.
