Voters will head to the polls Tuesday to select new House and Senate members for two separate legislative seats that were left open by unexpected vacancies.

In Senate District 20 in north-central Oklahoma, voters will decide between Republican Ann Griffin and Democrat Magnus Scott Sr. in the race to replace the late Sen. David Myers, who died last year. The district includes portions of Kingfisher, Noble, Logan and Pawnee counties.

In House District 71 in central Tulsa, voters will choose between Republican Katie Henke and Democrat Dan Arthrell. The two are vying to replace former Republican state Rep. Dan Sullivan, who stepped down to become chief executive officer of the Grand River Dam Authority.

Voters in 44 other counties will head to the polls for various school and municipal elections.
