Javier Cazares, the father of a 9-year-old girl who was killed in the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, earlier this year, regarding his frustration with Gov. Greg Abbott’s lack of action to stop gun violence. Cazares is one of several parents who have been mobilized by the Uvalde shooting and are now running for office in an effort to make changes and, hopefully, prevent future mass shootings.
