The amount that commissioners in Lee County, Fla., have agreed to transfer from the county budget to compensate for unpaid tolls from out-of-state drivers. About 10 percent of tolls from the county's three toll bridges go unpaid, and while sanctions can be applied to Florida drivers, collection from out-of-state drivers can be more difficult because of varying state rules.
