The last time that California was hit by a tropical storm, which dumped 5 inches of rain on Los Angeles in 24 hours. Hurricane Hilary is now categorized as a Category 4 storm off of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula and it is projected to hit southern California by Sunday night and into Monday.
