The amount that Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, N.J., is spending of its own money to rebuild a badly eroded beach in front of the building. The beach had been reduced to just 5 to 8 feet wide in some places. The casino resort will dump 12,810 tons of sand onto the beach to recreate a new 110-foot-wide beach that will be open for Memorial Day weekend.
