Scott Fadness is the first mayor of Fishers, Ind., elected to the position in 2014 after residents of the town voted to become a city. Fadness, who had served as Fishers' town manager since 2011, has promoted creative solutions to retain and create jobs, redevelop Fishers' downtown and establish the city as a hub of innovation and entrepreneurial activity.
Fadness received the Government Finance Officers Association's Distinguished Budget Award three years in a row. He is the chair of the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns' Legislative Committee and serves on the Hamilton Southeastern School Foundation Advisory Council, the Hamilton County Disaster Action Team for the American Red Cross, and the board of the Fishers Entrepreneurship Center Inc.. He is an adjunct professor in the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis School of Public and Environmental Affairs and holds a master's degree in public affairs from Indiana University.
