Kimberlee Cornett


As managing director of the Kresge Foundation's Social Investment Practice, Kimberlee Cornett works with Kresge's program teams to make capital and financing available to organizations working on key priorities of the foundation. Before joining Kresge in 2009, she worked at Maryland-based Enterprise Community Investment, a real-estate investment services company for affordable housing and community development.

Cornett was appointed a White House Fellow by President Bill Clinton and served at the Small Business Administration. Previously, she led a Habitat for Humanity start-up affiliate and worked at a shelter for homeless women and children. She earned her master's degree in organizational development from Marymount University.

They're supposed to help distressed communities. We need strong reporting requirements to make sure they're really doing that.
