Joshua A. Douglas
Joshua A. Douglas is a professor at the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he teaches and researches election law and voting rights, civil procedure, constitutional law and judicial decision-making.
Douglas is the co-editor of the 2016 book Election Law Stories and a co-author of an election law casebook published in 2014. His commentaries have appeared in publications including The New York Times, USA Today, CNN, Politico, The Atlantic and Slate, and he is a guest blogger on PrawfsBlawg.
Douglas was the founder and initial chair of the Association of American Law Schools' Section on Election Law. Prior to joining the University of Kentucky, he clerked for a federal appeals-court judge and practiced litigation at the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. He earned his bachelor's and law degrees from George Washington University.
