Shireen Santosham is the chief innovation officer for San José, Calif., where she leads efforts to build a "smart city" vision and strategy for the city. Previously she worked as a director in the Mobile for Development section of Groupe Speciale Mobile, the international mobile-technology trade association, focusing on closing the gender digital divide in the developing world. She also has worked with McKinsey & Company and international non-governmental organizations, and as an impact investor at Vulcan Capital.
Santosham holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and an MPA in international development from the Harvard Kennedy School and is a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations.
